Project Title: Removal of Amoxicillin (AMO) as an Emerging Pollutant from Wastewater using Activated Carbon from Carbonized Rice Hull and Sodium Alginate Composite Adsorbent Beads

Duration: 11 months

Salary: Php15,208.80/month

Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree 
• Perform laboratory experiments on the synthesis and characterization of composite adsorbent beads made from activated carbon from carbonized rice hull and sodium alginate
• Facilitate the design of experiment in the adsorption/removal of amoxicillin (emerging pollutant) and determine the effects of contact time, adsorbent loading and the aqueous solution’s initial concentration with respect to the adsorbent’s adsorption capacity
• Conduct adsorption experiments for the
• determination of the controlling mechanism of the dye adsorption process using existing adsorption kinetic models
• evaluation the equilibrium characteristics of the adsorption process using available adsorption isotherm models
• Facilitate in processing of project related documents
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Leader
