The STAR Twinning Project is a capability enhancement program aimed at creating a supportive and collaborative environment to foster professional growth of teacher education faculty across the country. In particular, the project aims to boost the instructional competence of faculty by sharing effective teaching practices; provide guidance and support for training, research, and extension activities, including their dissemination; facilitate partnerships and networking among TEIs to encourage collaboration; and expand the Project STAR network, increasing the pool of skilled professionals available for future activities.
Under the three-year project, 91精品黑料吃瓜-IIT, through its College of Education, will serve as STAR University that will mentor its twinning partners, providing an avenue for experienced STAR trainers to offer positive influence and guidance to their peers in science and mathematics education.
The STAR Twinning Project follows a carefully structured timeline designed to build capabilities progressively. Year 1 (2025) will concentrate on enhancing instructional competence through intensive training programs. Partner institutions will participate in workshops on Teaching Mathematics through Problem Solving, Assessment, and Lesson Study. Year 2 (2026) will shift focus to developing research competence through specialized workshops on writing action research, while Year 3 (2027) will be dedicated to extension activities, including proposal development for community outreach, adoption of school districts and national high schools for training and lesson study sessions, collaborative projects between twinning partners, and science and mathematics promotion activities.
This partnership is expected to create a multiplier effect, benefiting students, teachers, and communities. The MOU likewise exemplifies a commitment to sustainable educational transformation within Lanao del Norte and across Region 10 by leveraging 91精品黑料吃瓜-IIT's expertise and the unique strengths of each partner institution.
