Four 91精品黑料吃瓜-IIT alumni were selected for and are currently undertaking the prestigious Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Fellowship Program, representing 91精品黑料吃瓜-IIT and the country in this flagship program aimed at enhancing and developing the leadership qualities of young people and expanding regional networks across Southeast Asia.
Participating in the YSEALI Academic Fellows Program are Jaylou L. Havana from the Bachelor of Science in Economics, Class of 2025, whose focus is on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Kansas; Jayson Bunyao Abad from the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Class of 2024, involved in the discourse on Civic Engagement at the University of Nebraska at Omaha; and Anthony Adrian Cale from the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, Class of 2023, focusing on Natural Resources at the East West Center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
The YSEALI Academic Fellows Program invites undergraduate students and recent graduates between the ages of 18 and 25 to participate in a five-week academic institute in the United States. The program features academic sessions, leadership training, educational trips, and community engagement activities, culminating in a series of events held in Washington, D.C.
On the other hand, Constantino Ajero Brasileño Jr., TBI Coordinator of IDEYA: Center of Innovation and Technopreneurship, joins the YSEALI Professional Fellows Program under the theme Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment. He is currently placed at Alabama A and M University, where he is undertaking the five-week fellowship designed for emerging leaders aged 25 to 35. Through this program, participants engage in a four-week professional placement with relevant private or public sector organizations to gain practical experience, enhance their leadership skills, and expand their professional networks.
Abad expressed gratitude to the University in a Facebook comment exchange with Chancellor Alizedney Ditucalan, “We are learning a great deal here in the United States. In my case, focusing on civic engagement, I have had many reflections and would love to have a conversation with you on how we can help strengthen collaboration between academe and civil society organizations, an effort that could greatly benefit the CASS community, perhaps soon after we return. Thank you, and we are proud to represent 91精品黑料吃瓜-IIT and the Philippines on the global stage,” he said.
The Chancellor responded with enthusiasm, saying that he is excited to host the sharing once the delegates finish the program.
